To
develop and support new RTM Home Markets ATechBuilder™ engineered
proprietary industry-specific software
based on the proven operational methodologies of Canadian RTM Builders,
and with technical developmental assistance provided by the National
Research Council of Canada.
Unlike
other software, ATechBuilder™ software was designed to integrate
and to perform both Production and Sales Management
functions for either type of RTM Builder business model, independently
owned or retail Home Center integrated.
Other
software packages deliver either
Project Management or Sales Management capability, and typically
use the conventional building trade model of project bidding rather
than Labor Unit Pricing. The ability to integrate
both types of management functions and to integrate labor pricing
with material pricing provides significant advantages.
ATechBuilder™
software provides the technical capability needed
to deliver both new marketing options and productivity increases
for new home construction by developing American RTMs
production. This software is the delivery vehicle for ATechBuilder™
RTM industry specific Technology.
Just
as there are two basic RTM Builder business models,
there are two basic Marketing Systems:
- The 'custom-built' RTM Home Model
that pre-sells production capacity & which,
for many reasons, is more profitable as long as production costs
can be controlled, or properly managed;
- The 'pre-built' RTM Home Inventory Model that
requires an inventory for Customers to choose from, & that
controls profits by using actual production costs to establish
selling prices.
The
pre-sold 'custom built' RTM Home Model is superior because
pre-selling production capacity generates greater profits and better
cash flow. While more difficult to implement than the 'pre-built'
RTM Home Inventory Model, it is proven to be practical because the
'custom built' RTM Home is really just a personalized
arrangement of standard production components.
The
most successful RTM Builders sell their RTM Homes prior to building
them because this allows Customer money to be used
to finance construction. However this requires a Marketing System
to simultaneously manage or control production costs while offering
RTM Home Customers price choices that correspond with design and
finishing features.
The
design and development objective for ATechBuilder™ software
was to facilitate the easy pre-selling of RTM Homes from
Customer design choices that are linked directly to single item,
integrated material and labor costs. Achieving this created 'operating
system' software that manages both Production and Marketing
Systems.
Operating
intelligence, or Intelligent Client capability,
facilitates transformation of basic, or single item component price
data into pricing packages that makes sense to CAD (Computer Assisted
Design) software as well as designers, sales people, and Customers.
To
address the need to regularly update material costs automated,
customized update capacity may also be developed to allow ATechBuilder™
software to interface with
POS (Point of Sale) software used by major building product suppliers
and retail Home Centers.
All
of this means sales people and even Customers can use limited versions
of ATechBuilder™
software to price new
RTM Home upgrades and options based on actual material and labor
costs. Also these costs can be easily adjusted for different location-specific
needs and considerations, or easily updated in response to volatile
building material costs.
ATechBuilder™
software makes possible
development of multiple
American RTMs Builders because
it can be used to both deliver RTM industry specific Technology
and to cost effectively manage sales and production data. For this
reason ATechBuilder™ software remains proprietary
and exclusively for use in the development and support of
American RTMs Builders.
