over the past 20 years was all created to compete in the
Yorkton SK market area, the most sophisticated in terms of both
RTM Home production and 'custom built' RTM Home marketing.
With
ATechBuilder™ Technology
American RTMs Builders can be easily developed in
the US market without the need to evolve and develop the industry
like the way that this has happened in Canada.
The
Canadian RTM Home industry was not intentionally rolled-out
but rather it evolved over the past 25 to 30 years. This
evolution resulted in many critical, industry-specific, RTM Technology
components being developed for both RTM Home production and marketing.
Most of these are closely guarded trade secrets because they are
the critical component for success.
The
industry-specific RTM Technology components needed to
operate as a successful RTM Builder,
and which are all available for operation
of American RTMs from ATechBuilder™ are:
- RTM Production System or specialized RTM building
standards;
- RTM Production Details or specialized RTM
Home design techniques;
- Labor Pricing Systems or Labor Unit Pricing;
- RTM Marketing System or 'custom built' home
marketing for the pre-selling of RTM Home production capacity.
The
RTM Marketing System is the most significant
and guarded of these with its value proven time,
and time again, by those who build an RTM Home only to find out
that being able to build it is not what sells it. On the other hand
RTM building standards, or Production Systems are the least guarded
because they are based on conventional construction standards.
Comparing
conventional 'RTM Home Specifications', or production
systems, is a lot like comparing hamburgers from fast food chains
- while packaging varies there are no differences in quality. Thus
even though these are commonly used in promotional material they
really have little value.
Only
ATechBuilder™ Enviro System™
is both a Production
System and a marketing tool because, as a 'green',
super energy efficient RTM Production System, it becomes a significant
value-added component in the American RTMs Marketing System.
In addition Enviro System™

RTM Production Details, or design techniques, are more guarded because
they allow RTM Builders to develop RTM Home designs capable of being
delivered with no structural damage and minimal aesthetic or interior
finish damage. Failure to use these RTM Production Details can result
in serious interior finish damage and even structural failures.
The
distinction between RTM Production System and Production Details
differentiates between what is common knowledge about RTM Home construction,
or 'RTM Specifications', and the 'Special Tricks' that experienced
RTM Builders have developed for their homes and home designs.
Labor
Pricing Systems facilitate the Customer
price quoting capability needed to develop successful
Marketing Systems for the pre-selling of production capacity. The
objective is to price new RTM Homes in a manner that is simple for
sales people and Customers but that controls and manages labor costs.
ATechBuilder
developed Labor Unit Pricing to be comparable to
the sophisticated 'flat rate' pricing systems used so successfully
by the automotive industry, and to accomplish three RTM industry-specific
objectives:
- Fairness in dealing with building labor trades;
- Relevance to Customer pricing, upgrades, & options;
- Integration into data bases for manipulation by software.
While
the Canadian experience has proven time and time again
the importance of these RTM industry-specific Technology, it has
not established a successful model for duplicating RTM Builders
because it lacks the critical component, industry specific 'operating
system' software.
